I am considering digitizing for my home embroidery business and was wondering if any of you fellow enthusiasts has tried Click-n-Stitch? I have Embird and had considered buying Embird digitizing to go along with my Editor, but for a little more money there seems to be more automatic funtions with Click-n-Stitch. I haven't digitized with either one and am trying to make an informed decision and have come here for the "informing". I want to be able to do logos on polos and such. Tell me what you think, thanks.

to get great results from your designs when stitched you will need a good software. Click and stitch is an automatic digitizing program. Usally they dont turn out very professional looking.

Get the best you can afford. Look at the commercial embroidery houses, OESD, DAKOTA, EMbroidery Lib, just to name a few. TO get those results is done with manual digitizing and not auto. Trust me you will not be turning out professional designs right of the bat. You will need to take time to learn and do the designs and learn the software. The software is only as good as the person that uses it.
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

Thanks for the reply, that is exactly the kind of info I am looking for since I know nothing about digitizing.

I do not do this as a job, so if you are looking for professional spend the money I guess. However, there is an excellent manual digitizing program with 5 great fonts built in for under $100, Embroidery Magic 2. I have both Embroidery Magic (editing AND font creation) and EM2. I also have Embird editing only. If you buy the program through Aunty M, she has a package deal that includes a workbook and CD video lessons I think about $130 not sure because I bought them separately. Thread Artist also has a package deal. I bought the TA lessons but did not find them as useful as Aunty M's, which I found simpler and clearer and the videos help a lot. I understand wanting autodigitizing. This stuff takes time and even if you ARE doing it for money, it's hard to take the time for it. Using the lettering and merging free and purchased designs with Embroidery Magic (editing which has 6 built in fonts) has met most of my needs, I prefer Embird for sizing, converting, deleting - sometimes, but I have digitized some things(I just don't have the time to put into it, I'd rather hire someone to do it for me) for logos with lettering using EM2.
