I love this, young boys can do anything if they put their mind to it! Not only that, but their color combinations are really fascinating.

That's awesome.....wonder if there's a picture of his quilt anywhere? My boys [13 and 11] are fascinated by my embroidery machine, but don't want to do quilts.

What a great story! My big goal this year is to teach my grandson to sew-he's 7 and has been wanting to sew for awhile now, just haven't had time but I'm thinking I might even take some vacation days when he's out of school and we'll sit and do nothing but learn the machine.

I taught my older GS to quilt - his first quilt garnered him a blue ribbon at the county fair & he DID make it all by himself withjust my advice. He also made a quilt for his new baby brother - he was 10. But, now at almost 13, going on 25 :bg: - he is not so interested. But, who knows, when he's past this stage of life, he may come back to it. He is somewhat artistic, too.

I do plan to teach the younger one, too, but at 2 1/2 he's a bit young yet :re: .

My, as of yesterday, 8 yr. old son is obsessed with my embroidery machine. I gave him and old Domestic machine for his birthday and he was sew excited. Gonna show him how it works tonight. I think I am gonna sign him up for some quilting classes too. He was blessed with my creativity and my husband's mathmatical mind. He could be a great quilter if he likes it.
