OK ladies here goes so we can get going for at least February and then i will get the themes out next week :nervous:

RED is the theme for this month. EVERYONE must e-mail me their addresses to <email address removed for privacy>, and if the e-mail is different from where you are sending make sure i get that too, as i will be using that e-mail to do the forwarding.

this is decentralized, so i will be sending you the names and you will be sending fat q's in 100% cotton that are approx. 18 X 22 to all those on the list.

e-mail me if you have questions or ask away here

OK Carman,

You can call me a bonehead but what exactly qualifies as reds? Is this just solid red or can it be a print?

lol, anything that looks like red to you, it can be red on red or red with another color in it, as long as its more red than the other color, hope that makes sense.

First of all, welcome aboard Brenda, you will love this swap group. Dorene, the way Carman usually runs the swaps each month is to announce the swap of the month, like Feb is red, March will be another category, then each month people sign up. There isnt any requirement as to how many or few you join. Sometimes some people sign up and sometimes they don't, depending on what the category is, etc...Does that help any? Hope so!!! :bluesmile

I guess I'm doing mine the hard way...cutting from my yrds of stash, because I'm not a fat quarter hoarder...I'm a yards of fabric hoarder...it's also ALL prewashed.

I have FQ's from Doreen,Lyn, Karen,Connie, and Brenda. (3 of which came today....which was a BIG surprise.)

My husband is wondering why I'm getting all these 'letters' with fabric in'em. I'm letting him wonder. I never told him what I'm doing. hahahahahahahahaha
:bg: :bg: :bg: Is that sneaky or just being prudent (not that he cares, but he is a man and they do get curious about odd things....) ???

Kath (in FL) Thank you all...this is actually fun !!! (I'm not good at surprises, never had many in my life...but red IS my fav color :bg: )

Purchased my red today and they'll go in the mail Wednesday (DH had to go out of town for an unexpected family emergency, so I'm home with the kids the next couple of days - I do all of my mailing from work as I work next to a post office.).

I agree I should have mailed them myself. The saddest thing is, I had handed them to him as he walked out the door and he drives right by the post office on his way to the truck yard. They went out the 27th. I gave them to the postmaster myself. :bg:

Chrys, I am sure that last block is coming to ya. It is just a long ways from Tx to FL, and it might of decided to take a swim in RED RIVER first. LOL! Just teasing ya. It took a letter from 20 miles from me 2 priority day mailing to reach me! 20 miles, so your FQ has lots of miles to travel. It'll be a nice surprise this week for ya I am sure. It is such a pretty FQ too!

I can get mail from my sister in OR in three days...2 days priority. Susie got my box in LA in 2 days...and thats hurricane days....(mail to or from N.O. is a pain...I know..they 'lost' our mail there for 5 mnths after the hurricane.)
I think someone probably took it..our mail here is KNOWN to disapear or mysteriously get 'eaten' all the time...it's done at the postoffice...instead of someone going postal, they distroy our mail...and yes I HAVE complained. To DC even...but it's been going on for 10 yrs...no one listens..Oh well...

Chrys,
Let me know if it doesn't get there, I bought extra  and can send it out again. I know how the mail thing goes, I sent a box from Cisco to Arlington (130 miles straight up I-20) and it took it 2 MONTHS to get there. Gotta love the postal service.
