I have an aunt with a terminal illness. She is now in a home hospice program and needs hospital gowns. (They were unable to "pilfer" any from her recent hospital stays...) I offered to make her some but they do not have a gown to spare to use as a pattern and have been unable to find relevant info in a google search. Does anyone have a pattern? If anyone has a gown on hand could give me some measurements and construction details... From what I recall on occassions I've had to wear one, they'd be quick and easy to make. Just need some measurements! Thank you! Renee emermuffin

There is also a Butterick pattern. Depending upon the type of illness, this is a wonderful pattern and I like it because it opens in the front. I'm sure that it could be changed a bit and reversed if you needed it to open in the back. http://store.sewingtoday.com/cgi-bin/butterick/shop.cgi?s.item.B4246=x&TI=10009&page=2 pam

We all love these boards and Mary should be very proud of her "baby". Thanks Mary, just in case you do not hear it often enough. |
