I would like to add trim to an existing blazer to cover up an iron mark.. oops.
It is a black soutache braid; do I have to rip open each seam I want it to extend out of? Or is there a way to neatly tuck under then ends?

Thanks,
Sandy in PA

I'm not familiar with the braid, but if it unravels quite easily I'd be very tempted to open up the seams and sew it in, I think it would also give a more professional look to it. Don't cha just hate those 'ooppps' moments?

If you had an embroidery machine (or even if you don't). It might cover the oops better. (like I can see the oops... ) They make some cute patches for sale at JoAnns, Hancocks and Wally World....
I like the oops...makes ya part of the club....

If you can manage to cut it without fray. Use some fray check on the ends. If it doesn't spread and it doesn't fray, you may be able to fold the end under. If you are planning to just "kinda squiggle" it around, you may be able to fold the ends under and then catch them as you put more braid over it.
