I have had a thought going through this empty head of mine for the longest time. I would like to make a quilt I think I heard about years ago called a puff quilt, at any rate this is my idea of it. I would make the squares let's say: 41/2" X 41/2" and fill loosely, not stiff each sqare with fiber fill. Now, I am am not sure after I get all my little squares stuffed how to join them together so that the "backside" does not have all those 1/4" seams showing or are they suppose to show? I could use the serger to join them and the seams woul not look to bad, maybe use a decorative thread to get that done? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks all!!! |

Thanks summeredhos. That was a fast response! I am going to tackle this quilt very soon. I have thought about this off and on for a few years now. i wwas trying to find a way to make it attractive from front and back. I tried a square today with my serger using a multicolored thread and it looked nice! |

GM take a look at www.QuiltersCache.com and lookup "Puff Quilts" under free blocks. There are great instructions on how to make this quilt.
