Hi, My name is Louise, from the UK, N.Ireland and I mostly enjoy producing hand painted crafts, ranging from house door slates, mik churns, pet portraits & sketches, wedding & christening gifts, etc but recently I am trying to incorporate sewing into my crafts, in the form of greetings cards and I think, so far I am quite happy with the results. If anyone has any ideas for stitching crafts, I just love new ideas. I do also really enjoy knitting, which I find is a brilliant way for relaxing and de-stressing. ___________________ 'Happy Crafting’ Louise http://www.llcrafts.com |

Hi, Louise. I have tried a number of stitching crafts over the years. Probably my favorite has been embroidered pictures, because I can get a great deal of detail and color range using floss. I have also tried my hand at silk ribbon embroidery. The results are fabulous, but the ribbon is a little pricey. I spent a couple of years doing crochet doilies and lace (had to try it!) and loved the outcome. I still use the doilies, but at the time I was looking for crafts I could sell, and no one wanted to pay the price I had to set on them. I have tried quilting, and love my one quilt -- just don't have the time to do more right now! I have done some hand-quilted wall hangings from hand-dyed fabric, and I love the results. I plan to do more of those as time permits. Hope this gives you some ideas! Judy Judy Sall Originals
