Is that the newest Designer? I don't have it but I would love to. I saw a demo one day at the sewing center and drooled all over myself! What a wonderful machine but the price is too much for me. I am looking to buy a used Designer of some sort but haven't found one I can afford. The dealer always calls me when she has one that was traded in but they are still too much for me right now. I just got the 936 serger. have to wait awhile before the whining will work again!
Good luck. Let me know how you like it. I'm sure you will.

I received the Designer SE and was going to sell my Designer I but decided to give it to my daughter for Christmas. That was one of the smartest moves I made. Now she embroiders her own kids clothing and gifts. The Designer SE is wonderful but the Designer I is awesome too. THe best thing about the Designer SE is that all your embroidery files are on a memory stick and when you want one you just but it in the machine. There are many more +++but that's my favorite. I would definately recommend it.

I also own the new Designer SE and think it is a wonderful machine. I traded my D-1 as I just didn't have room for two machines. I have the Viking Huskeylock 936 Serger also, but still am intimadated by it. If I can stop being scared of it I think I'll love it too.

We just moved so I haven't been able to use the SE a lot yet, I'm still trying to set up my sewing room, and can hardly wait to start sewing again. I've been making working (forever it seems) on two quilts for two of my granddaughters.

I really love this forum, I have learned so much from all of you. I've been a lurker more than a participater. Thanks for all the ideas and information.

There has been a SECOND recall on Viking Designer 1's...I would be checking out a post thats way down on the list to see if it affects any of you.
