It hasn't been a good sewing day. I'm trying to make a little blouse with a collar, something I usually stay away from. Well the first thing I did was not read through the pattern very closely and I sewed the collar on backwards. Then I sewed the facings on wrong and it's in a heap on the floor. I can't rescue it and so will have to start over. That's why i buy more material than I need. Oh well mistakes are good learning tools I guess so I'll finish my Diet Rite and take a little break.
How's your day going?

My day has been about the same...my dd threw up ON me while I was wearing brown velvety pants....all over my leg. I couldn't get annoyed (poor thing) but I hope the stains will come out.

My day is going just fine, thank you. I finished my work early and am spending the rest of the day sewing. My husband is off work today so he will cook dinner while I sew.

My work day/week is over...TGIF!!! It was a beautiful here today...sunny and 1° C and I went skating on the Rideau Canal during my lunch break. It felt soooo good. Definitely put me in a good mood. The weather this year is not great for skating on the canal. It has only been opened about 5 days total but...Winterlude starts today so everyone is hoping for cool temperatures. Definitely gonna do some sewing tonight.

Well let's see, first thing I did this morning was to knock my thermos cup full of coffee all over the kitchen floor (hardwood) and had to stop and not only clean the floor but the front of the stove, dishwasher, cabinets and refrigerator, then when I was backing out of my driveway, the garbage men had returned the empty garbage container (large and on wheels) to the inside corner of my driveway instead of to the grassy area next to the mailbox where they usually put it, and I backed right into it and knocked it over. Didn't hurt by Explorer though, thank goodness. I can just see dh if I had made a big ding in the back left side of my car or broken the tail light out of it again ($75.00) just for the part  and then I was late for work. However, my day did improve after that, thank goodness. I'm certainly glad it's Friday!!!!! :bluewink:

Had a day off today, its DH's birthday, so we headed to the Motorcycle Show for 4 hours. Found some incredible leathers with inset leather roses and since I have to recut my chaps, I'm thinking - hmm, maybe I can do some fancy stuff on them, or applique on them. Noticed some $695 jackets from Arlen Ness with terrible topstiching done on them. Appauling for such an expensive jacket.
I want to go work on the snowboard jacket, but I am so fed up with it. Put in the zipper, trimmed it shorter then realized I had forgotten to put the zipper right up the front of the hood as well and now it (zipper) was 6" too short. And I special ordered the zipper - was I p.o. So I found another one yesterday, but just can't seem to drum up the energy to fit with it again. We are going out for supper somewhere nice tonight too, so I may just play on the 'puter for a while and relax.

Went to the dermatologist on wed....got some meds...of course they made me sick...called on thurs...got new meds...of course THEY made me sick...
this is friday...Dr (he has much better skin that he has a right too...beautiful white skin, big blue eyes, dark hair and he's about 6'7"...but he's not what I'd call good looking..I donno...maybe it was just me...) and his staff don't work on fridays...so I have to wait till next week to tell him the CURE is killing me.
So about $400 was spent on things I cannot take...(luckily I have insurance.)
If they would just give me -1- pill to try, then they wouldn't waste all that time and money, but they can't do that...it has to be at LEAST a months worth or they won't fill the prescription.
Besides me telling the Dr NOT to give me things I haven't had before, because they make me sick...

tired now...thank you...good night....

Chrys, does your doc have samples to give out? Drug reps visit docs and give out samples to give to patients. I have a lot of problems with sensitivity to a lot of different medications and my doc gives me samples if I have to try something new. One time when I didn't have insurance for medications he gave me samples for over a year.

He didn't have samples of anitbiotics....(and when I see military Dr's they have NO samples at all...they aren't allowed.) Just as they aren't allowed the -1- pill thing...(I don't know whats weirder...the way they MAKE you take 30 pills you may not be able to use, or the fact that I can't use them...)
(and yes I DO tell the Dr's first off, that I have a problem with antibiotics.)
But THEY always know better....hahahahahahahaha

Chrys,

Are you required to fill the RX on base or can you go off base to fill it? I also have problems with meds and have always been able to get a few days worth of the pills, somehow they can file it with the Ins RX coverage that it's still okay. If I can take it, I get it filled on the Ins card minus the two days worth that I already got. Of course that is with pills, if you are having to use ointments that surely would be a different ball park. Maybe the Pharmacist could help you with some other options

Nope we can fill our prescriptions anywhere...if the base doesn't have'em we can get them through any pharmacy. But when I ask for just ONE pill, everyone has always said NO. Dr's or pharmasists. I think it has something to do with the way the military medical stuff is run. (they keep changing....6 mnths ago they changed to Humana South, before it was South Region whatever...). I'll get it straightened out with my rheumatologist on wednesday...(I hope.) (they're in the same building/hospital).
I just hate the antibiotic roulette I have to play all the time..
Thanks though [[[ ]]]
