I am trying to make a pillow for my daughter and am using cording with the trim. Problem is, when I try sewing on machine, it leaves a gap of about 1/4 inch of the trim part showing. I was told to put fabric right sides together with cording trim in between. How do I get the cord to snuggle up against the fabric. Please help. Thank you. Ciara

If you do not have a cording foot for your machine, a zipper foot will allow you to get closer to the cording when you sew. You can also get a closer seam if you sew the cording to the right side of one side only, then place this piece over the right side of the other side and sew through all. If the pillow has corners, sew these first and ease the fabric in between for best results.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will give it a try again with what you have told me. Wasn't sure if there was a special foot for cording. Thanks again. Always remember to enjoy each day and love one another. Ciara
