Hello I do embroidery and sewing. What I do is sew slippers, hat, mitts, children pjs, pillow panels, pillowcases , towels, noteholders, magnets, recipe holders, auto seat beat wraps, purses, towel wraps and many more items. I also embroider designs on them and do monogramming. I do custom orders too. What I want to and need to know is what are people looking for? I am and have made these items to sell . Do I need to put an ad in the paper? Go and put a table at a craft fair? What do I need to do to sell my items to get some business going. Put up a sign in my yard? I know there are alot of us doing the same thing. I have gone to craft shows and seen several tables with all the same stuff on them, just diff colours or size so on. Suggestions please . Thank you. Yes, to all the above. Do everything necessary to get your business off the ground and out there in front of your future customers. Look at what is selling on Ebay and on the internet...these will show you what people are looking for to buy. Find a website that is selling similar products like yours and use their websites wording as possibly a guide for writing your ads, etc. Also have you read all the other topics of discussion under this forum. There is a lot of information there that may help you. If you want a sounding board....I will volunteer my help. Here is my email <email address removed for privacy>. When you get your ads, flyers or website written...send them to me and I will give you my opinion on them. If that will help! Regards, Brenda Have a Good Day!
