thank you kindly folks, you are very kind
Ninfav...I have two friends named Pat. They're both very artistic, so I recently asked them to make some amusing headgear for my daughter's birthday celebrations.
Everyone who was there agreed that they were brilliant arty pats.

Cheers , me dears. I can't believe a happy birthday to me is a 2 page thread - I mean, nothing better to do girls? Shucks, I feel loved.

Ninifav - I am knitting the human digestive system for a school display - somehow you get fed up of jumpers....
rectum, colon, appendix and 16 foot of small intestine complete and I am running out of illium wool so will need to move on to the stmach fairly soon... the completed project and pattern can be seen here.http://www.strangebuttrewe.com/knitgi.htm

Fantastic isn't it! It is my follow up to the uterus(+fallopian tubes and ovaries) I did earlier for my boss for Christmas.....
So far 3 weeks to get to the stomach - you start with the anus. I'm nearly at the stomach, I gonna stop the intestines tonight. Kids at study support club (an after school homework club I run) are in stitches when I "spill my guts" on the floor....I tripped over my own intestines today... not many people can say that without disembowelling.

Stop already...I'm cryin' over here...at least I'll go to bed chuckling....What do you do in real life, anyway??? Your bosses must just shake their head and say "oh, Lord, ignore her, it's just Jan!!! Need a job??? You sure could spice up our office...

Jan works for Dr Frankinstein. She works in a lab. Can you imagine that Nivi? When she's bored she takes out her brain and plays with it. :bg: Jan you know i love ya huh? Where do you find the time to knit your organs???

Hey Nivi, what to go to a Amerian Sewing Guild meeting on the 15th. Let me know and I'll fill you in on all the details. Bring some friends we need to recoop our group in New Orleans.

School Lab technician, Ninifav - not nearly so bad as Susie makes out. Though my boss did ask if I could whip her up an artificial heart - 2 squash bottles, a non return valve, a rubber bung and some tubing later - hey presto! Ventricle and atrium!

I knit in the evenings Susie when I am watching the tube - or in the staff room at lunchtime. They have got used to my knitting odd things now what with Dorothys' Dogs' jumper, the Pink wig and the uterus.....
I have a pattern for a hand grenade....not wise at the moment with the current political climate however.

Susie, I sent you a message about the sewing guild...think we could send Jan an airline ticket...Can you imagine what the airline checkers would think when they dis-emboweled her suitcase??? Might have to lend her a lawyer to get her out of Jail...

Oh Nivi that would be a riot to have Jan over in the states. We could even get her to eat Crawfish, she's game for anything. Just look into her eyes. gggggg a little hurricane from Pat O'Briens and she'll be good to go. She likes a little toddie every now and then. We could teach her how to get beads at Mardi Gras. She could show her innerds instead of other parts of the body.

Happy belated birthday Jan. Forgive the tardiness but I'm working solo for 17 attorneys these days :coffee2: Hope your day was great. I like to knit, but in no way am I nearly as good or as fast at it as you are.
