i am trying to make patches with my machine the only thing is i can make them just fine but what are the finishing steps to make sure that i can cut out my design from my embriodery machine and let my friends get to use them?

You need to stitch your patches out on something transparent. BadgeMaster, Vilene etc. Make sure you have enough stabilizer in the hoop and that it's TAUT. You can also use tulle (making sure you cut all the little threads off...) You also have to make sure what you are making as a patch is legal for you to use in that way. (not registered to a site FOR YOUR USE ONLY, no copy write logos, etc.).

I always use 'fraychek' around my edges before I cut it out, making sure it has dried for a few hours, that way if you accidently nick a thread you don't fray horribly. Got that tip from my sister who does loads of embroidery.
