I use the prewound bobbins almost exclusively. There is so much more thread on the prewound and they are so easy. I buy the NEB by the case, ususally get some black in packages...about 15 or 20 to a package. I have a BabyLock. I even used the NEB on my little 150 PE Brother! I like to do lace, the the prewound goes so much further than using the bobbin thread and winding your own.

As a dealer I am told not to recommend them. However I use them almost exclusivly. Make sure you use the right ones for your machine and you should have no problems. They can affect your bobbbin tension so you might have to adjust your bobbbin tension a little. Many prewounds have a wax on them that can build up in the bobbincase and bobbincase tensions. If you notice this (a white residue) be sure to clean it out periodically. I prefer the plastic ones from Robison Antone rather than the cardboard.

I use the plastic NEBS prrewound bobbins in my Brother 2001 ULT and have had no problem with it. Several friends and I split a gross.

JLCMYAK..
Check out this web site. This is where I buy my thread, bobbins and lots of craft stuff. Will give you an idea of what type of prewound to get.
