Thanks ladies for all your birthday wishes!!! At 10:00 a.m. this morning I will be 64 years old. In one year and 6 months, I am going to finally retire from the legal world and hopefully spend the rest of my "old" age staying at home, sleeping late, shopping in the middle of the day instead of at night and on weekends, sitting in my swing on my patio and quilting all day if I want to. Yippeeee!!! I can hardly wait!!!! However, right now, I have to go to bed so I can get up at 7:00 a.m. and go greet all 17 of my happy Assistant AGs with a smiling face. Yeah right. Patsy Patsy

My birth day was as usual -- working for attorneys However, my evening was great!!! DH took me to a really cool restaurant for a scrumptious dinner and when we came home he surprised me with a new diamond pendant and matching earrings. The pendant was for my birthday and the earrings are for Valentine but he gave me both at once because they are a set. I also ordered a new book and the new stitch in the ditch foot for my Pfaff Quilt Expression. So, all in all, I've had a pretty great birthday. Patsy Patsy

Wow pretty nice haul for a birthday and valentines day . Nice going Patsy. I put the word out tonight there better not be any candy in this house on the 14th. I don't wear jewerly except the wedding ring and mother's ring so it better be a plant or something for the house or sewing room.
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

I got an email ad for their Valentines special from one of our favorite restaurants and forwarded it to my husband. I wonder if he'll take a hint. Dorothy |

I had no idea about the pendant and earrings and he had asked me several times this week if there was something that I wanted and as I have the ones he bought me for a wedding anniversary several years ago that I wear all the time and am very happy with, I didn't even think about wanting another set, but since he bought me more diamonds, geeez, guess I'll just have to wear those also. Of course, I could have told him if he really wanted to, he could always buy me the Pfaff 2056, but I'm trying to have a little restraint, for what I don't know, but I'm trying. Of course, there are our wedding anniversary(ies) coming up in May and June. Patsy Patsy

Patsy don't tell me you were married twice to the same man? I have two anniversaries too. The first one in Aug is the one that counts because in the church in your married in the church you are married even in divorce.

Yup Susie -- Married the same man twice. We were 18 and 19 the first time we married; married for 14 years -- divorced for 20 -- didn't see or speak to one another during that time; no children so no need to keep in touch with each and I didn't want to anyway); he called after 20 years to apologize to me for the way he treated me when we went through the divorce; in the ensuing 20 years we had both become very strong, faithful Christians and God put the marriage back together again but in a new and stronger way than it was the first time. The strange thing is, it's like we've never been apart and unless we tell people, they have no idea that we haven't been married 45 years or so. Patsy Patsy

Raymond and I have been married for 36 years with the exception of the three months we were separated. Back then where we lived you could get a divorce in one week if you filed a month before the divorce court day for that month. We married when he was 18 and I was almost 18. We had two children when we divorced 6 years later and I almost lost my mind because he was my life mate and he didn't think so. When I gave him the divorce I went to my parish priest and he told me no matter if we get the divorce or not we would still be married in the eyes of the church and God since we married in the church. After I let him have his divorce, it took him 3 months to see that freedom wasn't what he wanted. We got married again, the priest called it blessing my first wedding since they didn't reconize the divorce, and I had this time the nuns in the convent as my wittnesses, but the first wedding day is the one I reconize. He is and will always be even in death, be the only husband I'll ever have. He's not only my husband but my best friend since he's grown up .
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.
