I just found out this week that we have a local boy (man really) competing in the Olympics. Brock KREITZBURG, he's a Bobsledder. :USA:
The last person from this area was Glenn "Jeep" Davis who won Gold in Track and Field back in the 1950's or 1960's, not sure when it was, but we do have a statue of him jumping a hurdle in front of the Library!!!!
I did hear that there is a women from the Toledo area that has made a team, not sure which one.
I'm sure that there are many more, just haven't heard about them yet.

Anyone from your area competing?

I know that my 16 yr old niece is on the State of Indiana Olympic quails team for Soccer. We have our fingers and toes crossed that she will make final team(s) to get her to the Olympics!!!!!

In the last summer Olympics, a young lady swimmer was on my MD swim team in high school. To say the least it made it very exciting to see her there swimming. I remember as a young girl watching the ski jumpers practice in the Upper P. of Michigan. I do enjoy watching the Olympics.
