I have that pattern. Several times I planned to use it but ended up doing something else instead.
Let me know how it comes out.
I tend to favor Sandra Betzina patterns.

It has lined yokes, other than that it looks pretty straightforward. I am making it from an embroidered white cotton.

I have not made this one, though have looked at it several times.

I have made shorts and two jackets from her patterns with much success. Instructions are so easy to follow.

I've made this pattern a couple times. The only place I had any trouble was around the pockets. You really have to be precise in sewing the seams and pocket openings. Of course, we should be that way anyhow, right? Gotta admit, sometimes it's easier said than done. :re:

I've made a couple of SB tops, I found they were a little short in the body, just something to check :bluewink:

I always have to adjust her sleeves. I don't have to adjust others.

Adjust the sleeves how Dorothy? I have to adjust sleeves on most of the patterns I make my arms are large at the top.

Mary I like that shirts also.

I don't know, Susie. I think it is really the back is too narrow unless it is a size too large for me. But if I add a bit more ease in the back of the sleeve they fit better. It's just with her patterns.

Last April, our ASG chapter had Sandra Betzina for an all day seminar. It was fun to meet her in person and have a chance to look at all of her sample garments (from her Vogue patterns) both inside and out. They were great. I especially loved how she used her red bra for a swimsuit pattern because she needed more support than the pattern required. It was very informative. I don't remember the details of that particular shirt but knew that it would not be flattering on my figure. I did win the "Best Outfit" award using one of her patterns (a skirt and dolman sleeve jacket) from her "No Time to Sew" book. I did get all of my sewing books by her autographed and had a totally wonderful day. I even have a photo with her. Happy Stitching!

Marty isn't Sandra a very lovely lady? I met her at a conference here in New Orleans and she signed all my books for me and she took several pics with us she is truly a super lady. She also knows her business. I love her books especially her fast fit book and her Sewing Saavy. Book are like sewing bibles for me in my sewing room.

Yes, she is a sweetie. I have all but her home decor book. She even had members of our group try on her clothing. It was a fun experience. Now I can't wait to see who comes this year. As for now, we have Elsa Goussard scheduled for April 8th. She's from South Africa and is known for her digitized designs of pansies and flowers - www.elsadesigns.com - I think that's the correct link.

Hey Marty, That link is not her link. I think I've seen Elsa designs somewhere. Is anyone going to the conference in Baton Rouge in April? I'd sure love to see some of you. I'll be there.

I'm sending the info on to some members of the guild. My doctors refuse to allow me to travel ANYWHERE except within the city limits. RATS!!! I just wish some of these trade shows would come to the Memphis area. I had to miss the ASG conference last summer in Nashville because of medical restrictions. Oh well ... such is life.

My blouse is done. Forgot to post. It is nice. I had no problems other than I find the sleeves a bit wide for my taste. The shirt tail hem is good, bottom of the butt level. I like the idea of Sandra giving directions in her patterns for alternate seam finishes. She said she doesn't serge much, but treats her seams to other finishes. This is perfect for those with no serger. Anyway, I will make this blouse again.

I was just wondering how that turned out. I have an off white light weight linen that I was thinking of for that pattern.

It would probably be fine. There is lots of topstitching. I didn't include that on embroidered cotton, I don't like it much and it interferes with the flow of the emb. stitching.
