I have had my 950 for one year and am still having problems with it. Sometimes the thread jumps out of the machine and causes a mess with my garment. My thread breaks a lot of the times, or the machine causes the needle to break, etc. I know this is petty, but it is to the point that I don't even enjoy sewing now. Does anyone else out there have this same problem?

I don't know about anyone else, but if that machine were mine, that "sucker" would have already been sitting on a counter in the dealer's store.

Me too...it would have gone back to the store and I would have complained and shown them what the problems are, if they didn't fix it or replace it, they would have had Viking (central) on the phone and something would have been done....
I'd say take the nasty thing in now...

I wouldn't necessarily get rid of it, I would simply take it back where you purchased it and see if they will either fix the problems or replace the machine. One of my sisters has a Platinum (I think) 750 and she loves it.
