from San Diego where he is this week. He was waiting for his brother (whos in the AF and goes to the same meetings sometimes..they work on the same projects, even though my husband is retired, he's still working for the AF). They were going to have dinner at the Bali Hai, overlooking SD bay...very nice. He said there were lots of couples going inside...I said grab your brothers arm and walk in as a couple..it's CA people don't give that a second look..he said Ok...but he drew the line at a kiss on the lips. :whacky:
My husbands brother is about 12 yrs younger than we are and I've known him since he was about 8 yrs old...He's my fav out of the bunch. (and I think he knows that...he's a nice boy....and yes he's married...)
I told'em not to drink too many mai tai's at the Bali Hai. (the drink they're known for...I understand you can't drink more than one...it knocks you on yer ***)
All I got was ferret kisses today...better than nothing I guess...

When my Mother died they laid Gardina's in her casket and I said when we moved here I wanted to plant them all over the property to remember her by. they smelled so good. My nephew and his childen brought them from home to lay in her casket. She looked beautiful. Well today Raymond walked in with a gardina bush for me for Valentines Day. He knew better than to bring me candy. Then there is a form of king cake they have at Mardi Gras time here in New Orleans it's tredition at this time of year, it's a coffee cake with icing and a baby inside, if you get the baby at a king cake party you have to have the next party. Well anyway, there is a famous king cake maker down in Chalmette called Randazzo's King Cakes and they are to die for. They went underwater with the rest of us so when my sister in law walked in my house this evening with half of a Randazzo King Cake all I could do was tell her to get the H*&^ out of here with that cake. She laughted at me knowing I was kidding and said you don't have to eat it. Well I didn't and I'm so proud of myself for not doing that, Raymond and the kids ate it so it's out of here. I have a busy day tomorrow I'm going to WW in the afternoon and tomorrow night I'm headed to New Orleans to go to my first Sewing guild meeting since July's meeting. Yawwwwhhhhhhhoooooooooooo.
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

Way to go Susie!!! Wish I had that kind of will power. I love King cake. We usually have at least one in our office during mardi gras but so far this year we haven't. Enjoy your meetings. I went to our local Quilt Guild meeting tonight. It was quite enjoyable. We had a "demo" night tonight. I demonstrated machine applique, another member demoed free motion quilting; one lady demoed quilt binding and finishing off a binding; another lady demoed machine quilt labels and one did hand painted quilt labels. It was a lot of fun and I think everyone went home with a lot of new ideas and tips.

Glad to hear you had a very nice Valentine's Day Susie. I like Gardenias also.

I made him a card on the computer at 2:00am of the 14th and saved my bacon...we'll share the chocs.....
They are "Black Magic" - we had a laugh that we should offer them to Pagan daughter but it will depend upon her mooshe is a bit stressed thesedays.d as to whether she laughs or hits us.....
