I've been searching the internet with no luck to try to find a freebie backpack pattern so I can make one for my granddaughter who will be starting school this fall. I would like to make a quilted one but that isn't necessary either. Something simple but most of all FREE! Does anybody know where I can find one on the internet or does anybody have one they would care to share with me? Thanks!!! |

Wild Ginger (http://www.wildginger.com/products/wildthings.htm) has a wonderful, fully functional free download that has patterns for hats, bags, slippers and other accessories. This is a great program and I use it often.

I made a backpack using a tutorial on craftster.org I just ran a search from their home page and found it. It didn't have tissue patterns for me to cut out, but there were pictures describing the whole process, and I had no trouble following them to come up with exactly the dimensions I needed. The backpack I made was a miniature version on one of the ones on the website. It fit the stuffed bear perfectly, and the bear's 5 year old little mommy learned how to tie a bow because she loved hr bear and hre bear's new backpack so much and she wanted to help him close it.
