At Wal-Mart of all places. They have a new fabric that is a ready made broomstick skirt. It has a directions sheet you get with the fabric that tells you how much to get for your waist size, and then you sew one seam and you have a brand new skirt. I just thought that was the coolest thing. Ticia |

Ticia, those are wonderful! I've made several-inexpensive, quick to serge up, no muss, no fuss. They wash up well too! Enjoy.

They have that fabric at our local Wal Marts here. All of them have put it in the clearance bins as they have not been big sales items here. |

Isn't it weird how some things sell quickly in some places, but not at all in others. My Wal-Mart had just gotten it in this weekend, and they already had on bolt that was a good ways sold. Ticia |

Ticia I think it all depends on what area of the country you're in. Patsy Patsy

I agree, it seems to me that broomstick skirts are popular here and I've seen lots of people wearing them (I love them too). I'll have to see how it goes when I make them up, and let everyone know what I think. Ticia |

You can bring it more up to date with a few bands of ribbon around it to give it a Bohemian feel. Dorothy |

Our WalMart had two bolts of that a few months ago and the other day I see they have about 6 or 7 in lots of different colors and fabric. Cool if you're thin enough to wear it. I'd look like a mushroom!!! |
