ok so I just got my brother 270 and the PED-Basic......I purchased a couple extra fonts on ebay and I am now sitting here....stuck

ok heres the problem......

I can put a full name on something useing the letter option on the machine.....

Under the picture option there is cursive letters....

I can make THAT option do single letters but not full words!!!
and the same w/ the font that I have down loaded to my memory card...

please tell me that there is a way to do full words w/ more than this blah font under the letter option!!!!!

Heather, you might try using a smaller letter ... if memory serves me correctly you will be able to spell out words up to 7 letters. It's been over a month since I worked with your particular machine (taught beginner embroidery class using Brother machines) but using either the medium size or small size, you should be able to write out a word. Check your instruction book and be sure you haven't accidently hit the setting for monogram. Hope this helps. Happy Stitching!
