I just came across a product on ebay and it looked like it might be helpful. Has anyone used these pleater boards for their pleating. As I recently posted, I'm beginning to learn pleating and smocking.

Is one brand or size better than another?
Do they really make it easier than just ironing and folding by yourself?

Thanks for any input. What a great website this is!

You might want to check out Martha Pullen's website; she sells pleaters on there and I have seen the demonstration that she does on TV. It looks like it works extremely well. If you're someone who does a lot of smocking, I think getting a pleater would be the way to go.

Here is a video that might help give you some insight into pleaters and pleating.

If you plan on doing alot of smocking a pleater is a must, but if doing alittle bit of smocking you might be happy with the iron on dots.
