Any suggestions on embroidery linen guest towels 60%linen and 40% cotton on a singer CE200. It comes out looking like the thread is bleeding.

Do you mean before it's washed ??? Try a solvy on top (sulky, vilene, etc). Make sure your fabric is taut, either by hooping or sticky. (I wouldn't spray linen it tends to stain). If you're using a spray on it to stick it to some stabilizer, THAT may be your problem.

After it's washed...then it's either cheap thread (or sometimes rayon will run) or it's the fabric itself.

Yes before it is washed, this is for gifts. I would prefer not to use anything sticky, as you said linen will stain. I have embroidered these before on a barudan but just can't quite get that here. I am using rayon so I will swap the thread. Thanks a million.
