I just wanted to say I am SO HAPPY to have found this site!!! I am sort of new to sewing (have tinkered in the past) and have found much help here. I just purchased a janome memory craft 4900. Have to take lessons as to how to use it!!!!! Does anyone have this machine, and do you like it? Thanks, stilllearning

Hi stilllearning,
Welcome to Sew Whats New. I do not own that machine so I can't give you any advice on it. Just wanted to welcome you.

Stilllearning,
I have a MemoryCraft 4000 that I dearly love.. I do not know the differences in mine and yours.. Mine has 4 buttonholes, 2 alphabets (small), and a slew of decorative stitches .. I use a lot of them.. It is not an embroidery machine.. I bought it in 1993 or 94, I cannot remember which.. I'm extremely happy with it.. I'm too old and too thrifty to buy an embroidery machine because I have no one to pass it on to, and therefore I feel I cannot afford to waste money getting one.. So, I'm happy with what I have...I also have a serger (very old, but works great) and a coverstitch machine.. I use these for knits, baby goods, and boxers, pj 's etc... and t-shirts for my 3 grands..Keeps me happy in my retirement, and when I was still working, kept me sane.. (cheaper than a Psychiatrist, you know)
