Hello Fellow Quilters/Sewers,

I just wanted to share with you all a great musical production that I went to see. It's called "Meonpause the Musical". Girls, all I can say is, you will laugh from start to finish. For those that are too young to fully understand the "wonderful" effects of Menopause, it will be a comical eye-opening experience. Great Show. Just wanted to pass this on. I'm sure there are a lot of us out there that can relate to this thread.

I've heard about the show, but never had the opportunity to go see it. I will have to watch to see if it comes to Vancouver, I'd love to go. Is there a website with information somewhere??

Hi Bridesmom,

Sure thing. Go to www.menopausethemusical.com. I hope they have a show in your area.

I went to the website and there's a long running show in Orlando. I think I'll try to get a few women and go one afternoon. Looks like a good time. I think this is the one my sister saw in Charlotte NC. She said they just howled!! Thanks for reminding me of it.

Hey Libby, where do you live in N.O.??? You know that Mother-in-Law is a Chalmatian who is now in Kentwood...And I think that she is an active member of SAGA (or what's left of it!!) I live in the River Parishes....And where is the play showing??? Surely not at the Saenger...They refunded my season tickets b/c it went under water...

Hi Ninifav,

Well, my house is still in New Orleans/Westbank Area off of General De Gaull, next to the Bocage subdivision (still haven't sold it yet), but my job/company moved here to Houston, TX. I had to make a choice, to eat or not to eat, so I decided to head to Houston. :re: I was wondering how Mother-N-Law was doing. We communicated a couple of times through various posts. Did she make out okay? How about you and your family? I've been to the city several times since I left in August, but realize that it may be several years before the city is turned around completely.

The real estate market is down in my area (even though we didn't have flooding) and is up in other areas. I'm trying to keep my head above water. That's all I can do for right now. There are so many of us just in surivival mode right now. My son is going to miss the opportunity to go to college at a LA school w/ the TOPS program now, because we had to move out-of-state. It's just so hard to realize what a domino effect this storm would have on so many lives.

I actually saw the show at the Stafford Center here in Houston. It was very comical...after the past couple of months, I really needed something to laugh about. Going through what we have, has put us all on an emotional roller coaster. I just hope this next hurricane season will be somewhat tranquil. I don't think our country could suffer another tragic loss like "Katrina".

Keep me posted on how you all are doing. I miss our city, but realize I have bills to pay, and children to feed, so I have to go with the flow for now. How was Mardi Gras too? First year that I have ever missed the parades.
