Hi ya,
I tried that one and Yahoo as well to no avail. Actually, I came up with a vintage pattern with that same number from the 70's that was pretty cool though.
Sorry about the typo's yesterday. My shift key was stuck and for the life of my I couldn't get it undone. I'm using a softer touch while typing today..

Do you have a picture of what the cover looks like? Sometimes they change their pattern numbers...it will be the same pattern but a different number. There are also several simplicity scrub patterns on Ebay where the seller doesn't list the number, they just show a picture of the front with no number at all.

After a tip from a friend I did find I was asking for the wrong pattern #. It was #5192. But that was no easier to find either. I did find one, yes one pattern on ebay. Now mind you, this is a sewing for dummies pattern and the person is asking $27.95!! That's the starting bid. So I'd rather keep looking.
I tried posting a picture but it said it was too big. Email for the picture if you'd like.

Kathy,

I don't have any advice, but, if you don't mind my asking, what is so special about this scrub patterns? Why can't you just use another one?

I'm just curious about why this particular pattern is so important. I mean, if it was a dress I could easily understand it, but all scrubs look pretty much alike.

On the other hand, I made some scrubs for my daughter. The tops were fine, but the bottoms all looked like '80s pants with big wide legs, but tight at the ankles! They didn't look that way on the picture. Maybe the pattern you're looking for actually fits.

Good luck!

I don't mind you asking at all. It's actually in the women's hat portion that's different. Having worked in the medical field the scrub hats for women just stink really. This pattern had a flat band that sat flat on the head and then had the poofy back. MUCH, more stability on the head without it moving around the head on you. I'm making these for all the surgeons that took care of me while I was going through treatment. It's sort of my way of saying thank you and giving back you know.
I finally heard back from simplicity today and they do not have any in back stock any more. So if you ladies could keep your eyes peeled I certainly appreciate it.

Kathy, I sent you a private message for you to e-mail me with the picture so I can help. The board wouldn't let me send a regular e-mail.

Thanks ladies,
I actually tried unsuccessfully to do it. Hmm. I also was unable to get any email from you greendragon. Did you get mine?
I actually broke down and bought the darn pattern off of ebay. I know, the cost part bothered me (felt like highway robbery!!) but after talking to simplicity again by telephone this time they let me know this was out of print by about 3-4 years and to grab it if I saw it. So I was getting panicky.
By the way, I did make a few regular surgeon hats (a different pattern) for my guy doctors and I had to have surgery this past week and my docs just loved them. It was cute. They actually put them on and made a big production in the OR before I went to sleep showing everyone. I was so touched. You can bet it spurred me to make more. I'm just feeling well enough today to get back to sewing a little. Now if I only felt well enough to go fabric shopping.. LOL.... :bg:
Hugs,
Kathy

I did receive your e-mail and I tried to respond twice, but it kept returning my mail. I was never able to find it anywhere else.
