I was doing some googling trying to find directions for making an easy petticoat without a lot of bulk at the waist last night (any ideas anyone?) and came across this neat idea for a dress without a pattern. Has anyone ever tried anything like this? I think it will be an interesting project. www.domestic-church.com/CONTENT.DCC/20000701/FRIDGE/makingdress.htm http://www.domestic-church.com/CONTENT.DCC/20000701.GRAPHICS/make_dress.pdf http://www.domestic-church.com/CONTENT.DCC/20000701.GRAPHICS/make_jumper.pdf There are neat descriptions of how the dress came to be and more infomation about the dress on the website, but I couldn't figure out how to further link to it without having to have everyone wade through a bunch of other stuff that is not pertinate to the discussion. Enjoy! Eventually I would like to try the jumper. Please let us know if you do try one or the other. Melanie

I agree very interesting, I've only looked at part of the first link, but I'm going to have to look at all of this, just to see what all is up with it. Ticia, who is strongly thinking of making one of these |
