Hello, I am new to sewing. I want to start making childrens' clothing. I also want to make appliques on jeans ect. What is a good machine that does it all for a beginner. I also need a simple serger.

I actually want something that is easy to thread, maybe self threader ect. Computerized also. Please help. I want to spend less than 300$. I was thinking of the Brothers Disney machine. Any thoughts? Thanks,

As far as I know the low end Disney machine is an embroidery only machine. You do not have to have an embroidery machine to do applique. It can be done on a regular machine with patience and a satin or thick zig zag stitch.

I'm sure that someone will be along to help you with some good suggestions here in just a few. I'm a little out of touch with the best sewing machine for your needs in that price range. You could probably find a good used sewing machine at a garage sale (non computerized) sometimes you can find fantasic buys with excellent older machines which would give you a little more to spend on an embroidery machine if you wanted or apply it toward supplies or your serger.
