Hi! I found a wonderful transfer pattern for a Battenburg Pinafore dress for a toddler and I already have the Battenburg. The problem is that only the transfer and iinstructions are given. No pattern for the pinafore itself. Does anyone have a pattern for either a pinafore or summer smock-type little dress that they could e-mail to me? This is for a 2year-old little girl weighing about 26lbs. Hope to hear from you soon. If you would like, I could let you know how to get the wonderful free transfer pattern I mentioned. I can't e-mail it as I don't have a scanner but you can access it easily and freely online. Thank you in advance. Louise |

pinafore instructions (http://www.sensibility.com/pattern/pinaforehelp.htm) I hope this will help. It's not a pattern, but instructions. You might be able to enlarge the cutting layout picture large enough to make a pattern for yourself, or you might be able to fashion one yourself using guidelines. Andrea

I may have one at home. I remember buying a pattern b/c I wanted to make pantaloons to go with something else and it seems that it had a pinafore on it. I'll check and let you know. Julie

That site brings back such memories of sewing for my girls. I made a lot of those pinafores and dresses. They had a lot of matching outfits. They cringe when they see the pictures now. LOL.

Same here Mary. I loved making those for my 3 girls. They looked like little angels in them. I still love them on little girls but you don't see them as much anymore. |

Hi Louise. You may want to try Simplicity 4709. I have made it quite a few times using regular fabric and eyelet. It is really easy to make also. Sewing for my granddaughter..16 months...is what brought me back to sewing after 35 years!!! It is such fun and the little dresses and such work up so quickly. Good Luck!
If I had known that grandchildren were so much fun, I would have had them first!!
