Hello and thanks for any help you can give me with this.
I'm making my own wedding dress, and my wedding isnt until Oct. 2008 so I have plenty of time if I mess up. :bg: Anyway, I'm using this pattern (http://www.simplicity.com/dv1_v4.cfm?design=9769) and making the corset and chemise from it. I was just wondering what types of fabric would be nice for the chemise.

thanks!

Depending on what your dress is (that you'll wear over it, I mean), I think cotton lawn would work great - if you can find it. It's very lightweight and comfortable. I haven't found a good supplier, though.

If not, maybe a very, very lightweight soft hand broadcloth? (wince as I say this, I hesitate to...it will probably be too stiff to be comfortable, even after washing). Bleached muslin if you can find some nice soft stuff?

I would have gone with a soft cotton too - you are going to need to breath here and at least it wicks well.
