Do anyone of you know if there's anyway to cover up a bleach spot or spots on clothing? I'm a big fan of bleach and I've gotten some little flecks on a piece or two of dark clothing. Is there anything out there to color the fabric on those spots? |

There are some fabric markers that come in various colors. They are often used to hide odd places, outlines that don't match up quite right when doing embroidery. If you just have a few in opportune spots, you might try doing small embroidered flowers or something over them...just an idea. You'd probably be much better off to switch to a non-cholrine bleach or try something like 20 Mule Team Borax or Calgon as additives to get your clothes brighter and cleaner. If you happen to be on a septic system, it isn't cool for that either because it kills much needed bacteria in your septic lines. At the very least, you might try diluting the Clorox before you put it in your machine so that it might not get on the clothing while full strength. pam

If you're like me, the spots got on your clothes while you were wearing it, and using the bleach for something else. I have ruined several pieces of clothes like that...Now I try to remember to put on something old before I pick up the bleach bottle. I should check out those fabric markers. Take care,

I only use cholrine bleach on my whites but somehow I managed to get a few little flecks on a couple of pairs of blue shorts and one of dh's shirts. I don't know how it happened, I'll look for the fabric pens. Do they carry them at JoAnns or other places as well? |

I wouldn't be surprised. I don't use them but they are a rather "standard" staple for those that embroidery. You could always do a monogram on that shirt...of course it is probably in a terrible place for a monogram.

Sorry to hear about the spots, but its nice to know that someone else has the same problem I do. I have(had) a great pair of jeans that fit perfectly, and somehow I got a drop of bleach on one leg, they are grey/black jeans of course. I've thought about the embroidery idea, but haven't ever decided what to do. I have't seen a fabric marker in that color - oh well, good excuse for a new pair of jeans??? I hate trying to find jeans that fit!

Well, you can always take some sand paper to them and add a few more bleach spots. My kids are paying really good money for jeans that look like they've been bleached and then run over by a fleet of semis.

paroper, I like that suggestion & here is another....why not cut a hole in them? Isn't that all the rage now a days. Hope it is in a decent spot Jean |
