I've only done a few projects so far and I've always gotten my fusible interfacing at Joann's. However, my local store is small and the selection is often spotty and not well marked.

So far I seem to like the woven stuff better than the non-woven. It just looks like it will hold together better through repeated washings. But Joann's didn't really have any selections as far as weights go. I usually just have to get what I can find and I'm afraid I may be getting stuff that's too heavy for the summery tops I'm making.

Do you know of anyplace on-line that offers a good selection of fusable interfacing and will sell it in less than full bolts? I don't mind buying 5-10 yds at a time, but the 30-40 yd bolts on Joann's site are a bit pricey, especially if you want to try out a couple different styles.

Thanks.

Vogue Fabrics

http://www.voguefabricsstore.com/

has interfacing by the yard.
For light weight tops I like fusi-knit. That site has it in black and white, but check your JoAnns. Even the one here that carries very little fabric has it and you save the shipping.
Besides the Vogue Fabrics site is dangerous. I never go there without buying something.
I just bought this

Now what am I going to do with that?

Oooh, I like that Dorothy. What about a shell and skirt or straight dress.

It's a little busy to cover my big butt with a dress. I'm thinking a shell, but thoughts change, especially if I put it where I look at it while I'm sewing. That's a good way to get ideas.

I can see it in a very simple jacket, kind of boxy, maybe collarless, with a solid shell that matches and a pair of black pants!

The fabric came and it is very light weight. Definitely a summer shirt or Hawaiian style shirt. I haven't made up my mind yet. It is gorgeous. The colors are fantastic.

Yeah Mary, I thought of that one -- I always think of that one.
It would be cool jacket lining and lapels with a couple of the dancers appliqued to the front of pocket.
