Hi everyone..this might not be the place for this and if not please forgive me. I just don't know where to turn...I installed a new mouse...laser...a few days ago and now I cannot use my PED basic...I am working on e machines XP and there are two ports....but when I plug my PED into the second port the computer will not recognize it and I cannot use it. Is there a simple solution or do I have to get a PC Guru to help me...I thought maybe one of you has come upon this problem before...thanks for any help you can give me. My husband is out looking for an adapter now....I went into my computer control panel and searched for hours trying to figure out what to do...If I disconnect my mouse and put in my PED then I have no mouse to point with...what a mess....I am almost ready to go back to the old mouse...thanks much....Ria
PS if I dont respond on here and am gone for awhile it means my pc crashed....oh no!!!!!!!! Ria :nc:

I got this all settled...hubby was able to get an adapter that takes the PED and the mouse unit...the mouse is laser and cordless but there is this communicator that needs to be in the port...anyway I am all set.......Ria

Sometimes it seems that computers are way more frustrating than any other machine doesn't it. Glad you got it figured out and you have a hubby that is computer literate! Mine isn't!

LOL Laura...actually I loved the laser cordless mouse but I had to disconnect it and go back to my corded mouse :(....I couldn't use my PED Basic with the laser...I do not know why....others use the two ports with no problem...but at last I had to give it up as I really would not give up my PED program...no way...so I am back to square one after almost crashing the pc twice and freezing up the pc where I could not get into it at all...what a mess it was...Yes I am thankful my hubby knows pc's....I thought I did too LOL....I have helped him out in the past with problems he was having...you know what they saY...two heads are better than one....LOL...take care....Ria
