Hi everyone. My name is Lana and this is my first post and wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I am a stay at home mom of my 4 year old son Jack. Right now I am in the process of writing my busines plan for my embroidery shop, so anyone with input please feel free to let me know. Right now I am having a hard time with demographics and to use the information toward my business plan. Thanks. Lana(aka)Anjel |

Hi Anjel, Gee, that is a toughy. I don't know if you live in a big city or a small city, but if there is a local Chamber of Commerce in your city/town, you may be able to acquire some statistics from them. Believe it or not, but your public library is another good source of information. I was also dabbling on the web and found a sample business plan for a drapery company. Their "Marketing" section 5 drafted a good summarization of the impact that their business would have on their community. Maybe you can read this and get some good concepts of how you can apply your business to your demographic area. http://www.paloalto.com/sampleplans/BPP7/enu/Live/cuttingedgedrapery_Live.pdf http://msucares.com/business_assistance/homebusiness/saab.htm A Girl Can Never Have Too Much Fabric!

Libby, Thank you for the info! Any help I greatly appreciate, I will cheack out the sites you posted for me. By the way I live in a very small town, we don't even have a stop light . South Point is located in a metro area so that is good news. Thanks, Anjel |
