Hi, I knew there was a couple of you going to the Renaissance Festival in Arizona. I just got an email from my sister in law who was supposed to be going w/my mother in law and other sister in law and she said that there was rain predicted so they weren't gonna try to go :( If anyone actually got there, I'd love to hear all about it! I'm still hoping to get out there for it sometime or another..maybe next year!! Julie

Hi Julie, my daughter, her boyfriend and I went today-it was wonderful. Weather was great altho late afternoon a storm was gathering and the wind was blowing so it got a little cool. My daughter's BF had never been before and he really enjoyed himself-had to go see the Dead Bob show of course, funny every time! We mostly just leisurely wandered and looked at all the items for sale, enjoyed people watching, etc. The BF got his handwriting analyzed-says it was pretty much right on and he did the bungee jumping "ride"-remembered why he didn't like heights when he was up there! My DD and I knew better than to go. The last several years since my boys got married and had kids we would all go and it was becoming such a hassle trying to please everyone that I didn't enjoy it anymore so it was nice to have a quiet afternoon with someone who didn't care where you stopped, for how long, etc. Had some great food-must have expected lower attendance since they ran out of food a few times at the various places we stopped. Lots of people who go dress up in costume and of course all the workers there are in costume. Just a really great time. Too bad your sister missed it today-I think tomorrow there probably will be rain. But it runs another couple weekends so hopefully she can get out there yet.
