I need help on how to upholsery the back of an office chair (the one with the rollers). It is stapled together, leaving me lost in how to take it apart. Also could you include some photos if possible. Thanks. "What is to give light must endure the burning"

Wish I could help you but I just made a fitted cover to go over the first one I had so it would match my sewing room. I just took the measurements of the chair back, front, sides & seat added the seam allowance I needed, made a pattern & made it. I put a draw string in the hem underneath so I could draw it up tight. That way I could take it off to wash it if need be. It did look like it was upholstered to the chair. I no longer have that one & haven't made any yet for the others I have. Just another idea for you to consider.Oh, the seat & back were separate, not all in one piece. Just the standard rolling chair for a computer or machine. No arms either. |

I would slipcover also. If is already stapled together, it probably won't survive a true re-upholstery.... |

Yep..you need an upholstery stapler to re-do the back. (and they're compressor powered.) I'd just make a padded slip cover for the thing.

Thanks everyone for your help. I guess it looks like I will slipcover the back.
