| hello, I am new to embroidery.. i purchased brother pe design 6.0 software and the mini amazing box writer. I am trying to install it on windows xp. After installation, pe design says card writer not detected.. and will not open up,, but the writer works fine. anyone run into this problem?? please help?? thanks everyone.. |

Tahu if you read my thread on here I also was having loads of trouble with my PC....it just wAsnt compatible with PED Basic and my new laser cordless mouse...it was a mess....I found out that what Joanne here is saying is true..I suspected that the AOL virus control system managed to mess up my pc....It just agravated me to no end...message from aol says they need to run the scan and found one very suspicious file to delete..I click on "yes delete" and then after it is done a message comes up saying...deleting may affect some of your programs to not run properly....I was so angry I went and turned off all their virus scans for good....I just don't need the agravation...so I would try installing it again after turning off with the virus programs....I got the same message you are getting....that no card writer was detected when it is plugged in right in front of me....I hope you have luck...I am fine now with my old mouse back on and my PED working fine....wheeew....what a mess... If you look at the bottom right side you should have some icons (depending where they are on your PC. If you right click it will say disable antivirus, just click on that. Don't forget to turn it back on when all done.
