THIS IS FOR ALL US OLD ?? PEOPLE If you have weak eyes, as many of us do, here is a tip on how to make reading your computer screen easier. If you hold down the Ctrl key on your key board and then turn the small wheel in the middle of your mouse away from you or towards you, the print size will change - it will either get larger or smaller - depending on which way you turn the wheel. Try it. A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather with a certain set of attitudes. Hugh Downs

I did not know that... but I'm using a laptop without a mouse so I can't try it either. Judy

I knew....but since I read without my glasses off line, when I'm online my glasses work just fine. (especially since we always get BIG screens with our computers...my husband the geek likes'em for his photos and they're great for my embroidery stuff...).

It also works if you hold down your pointer on the screen you want enlarge..and while holding down, hit the F11 key. Haven't tried it in this site but works in a chatroom that I frequent. Sharon |

You can also go to "View" in your upper toolbar, then to "Text Size" and check the size you want your print to be. |

My mouse used to do that make it bigger thing just pressing the wheel and rolling it but with my new computer -- same mouse -- it doesn't seem to work, even when I press control. But, Laura, Google has a free spell checker, although I've never noticed you having much of a problem with spelling. Dorothy |

That's because I keep having to go back and retype my words, my brain goes way faster than my fingers do!

Day before yesterday I got a new computer. Using that technique with my lazer mouse does not make the print larger. Thank goodness for bifocals! Sewhappie...are you sure the spell check thingie is not spyware? I am so leary of any kind of "tool" that runs in the background. Color me suspicious. Bridesmom, Eye thank oui awl mispail frum tyme two tyme. Judy

On a lap top or just another way to increase the size of the print on the screen, you hold down the ctrl key and press the plus sign on the number key side and to make them smaller you hold down the ctrl key and tap the minus key Cheyenne |

Hello all You can also click the start button and then the control panel. In the control panel you can click on the accessibility icon(looks like a wheelchair). There you can set your entire computer for larger icons and text. These changes will be permanently set for you. carol |

Neither the F11 key or the wheel on the mouse enlarged the type for me. |

Rea and Almajeansattic - Your type enlargement techniques didn't work for me at this site, but when I went to another one, it did. Thanks for teaching me something new. Marilyn in MD |

I could probably read my screen better if I wore my glasses like I should (but I HATE wearing them!)
