Has anyone thought about making the tiered peasant skirt in the recent Sew News. I made it in miniature for my dolls and it turned out great. Of course I had to make some minor modifications to make it suit a doll but I used the same overall idea.
I just thought I'd mention it since people are so often looking for cheaper patterns -- you have to buy the magazine but there are other interesting articles -- and these skirts are so popular right now.
Besides it's an excuse to make you all look at my doll.

Sorry --
I just can't seem to get the knack of making the photos smaller.

Dorothy, that's an adorable outfit-the blouse goes perfectly with her skirt. You did a great job on it. I do get the magazine every month (have a subscription) and for once, this month's issue had several articles that appealed to me, including the skirt. Thanks for sharing your results with us!

It's on my list of things I want to make (of course that's a rather long list).

How cool is that??! I love her outfit. What a great job! Great material.
Now, if I could just sew clothes like that adult sized, I'd be a pretty happy camper!!

Very nice, Dorothy!

Is this the skirt pattern you used?

Maureen --
The directions in Sew News are excellent and it would be easier to make it full size than scaled down, really.
I think I am going to try one for my daughter -- maybe even one for me -- this summer.
