I went to my first one and had a ball! I stopped by a vendor repping the PCQuilter....I was interested in finding out about this and never remembered to hit their website. When he asked what machine I had (Janome MC9700) he did not believe that there was such a model and was I "sure"? DUH! I have the reciepts to prove how sure I am!! Anyway, it does not have a long enough bed to use PC Quilter and I am not in the market for the 1600 so that was the end of that conversation. He pretty much stopped talking to me and walked away...rude!!! One never knows the "future" and he is not in mine!!

Vendors/salespeople never know where the next sale will come from and need to treat "prospects", with respect.........not just shut them out when they don't seem like a prospect!

My 2 cents.
Sandy

Hi Sandy,
I know what you mean. There are a few sewing machine dealerships in Houston that I will not go back to because of the clerks' rude attitudes.

Another thing that ticks me off...when they start putting down other brands. That suggests to me that there is a lack of confidence in their own brand. Tell me what's good about your machine, not what's wrong with all of the others.
Take care,
Donna

I run into that kinda stuff at Joann's...They sell Babylock in there from a person in another town. I was watching one of the machines making lace one day. ( I wasn't fascinated...I was actually trying to remember what I went in there for.. :nc: ) The woman in there asked if I was interested and I said no, I already had 3 embroidery machines, that I was just trying to have a thought. She asked me what I had and I listed all my Janome's...she said thats too bad and turned her back on me..now THATS being nasty...
I never go into that corner of the store anymore...
