This was sent to me late last night. Please use judgement when responding to this message.

To Sewing Group Owners,
This is a desperate attempt to locate a member on a sewing group. She has been trying to get in touch with me since her yahoo addy (sewingsteph @ yahoo. com) failed and she couldn't retrieve my return email address. She happened to post a message on the group I belong to along with similar groups since she remembered I collected prams. I replied, but don't know if her new return Yahoo email is having problems, too. It's urgent for us to contact each other again. I know she collects vintage sewing machines and is into sewing, so I'm sending a message to all Yahoo sewing machine and sewing related group owners in hopes of contacting her. If she is a member of this group could you kindly forward this message to her for me, or post it on your message board? If she isn't on this group, please disregard it. Thank you very much! :)

The message is: Stephanie, my email is david.earp @ constellation. Com
Thanks again for your kind assistance!
David

I have received mail from this address with no message inside so suspect it is one of those spams.

Yahoo has had a bunch of this stuff lately...if you have a yahoo e-mail box, it's full of this kinda weirdness...they're full of nothing but a virus if you don't watch out.

My SIL is a computer person. He informs me that most of this junk is not necessarily virus. What senders are looking for is people who respond to emails. Apparently sales people hire individuals to swarm the internet - millions of people. The individuals sending the mail do not get paid much, yet it is worth the money to sales people if they get one sale or response.

Sure is a pain in the neck. I have been inundated by stuff in the last week that have a different subject line each time from people I don't know. In the preview window I see that the message is just gobbly gook, so it makes it impossible to make a message rule to prevent the messages from coming into my mail box and being deleted. For awhile I got mail like this with no subject line so I made up a Outlook Express mail rule not to accept any messages without subject lines. Salespeople seem to have learned that that can be done.
If anyone has an answer, let us know.
