Has anyone ever heard of Gold Band Needles. I just got a fold top sewing table from a coworker for free with two bags of thread, buttons, these needles, and other misc stuff. I had a blast going through it all. But I've never seen these needles before, they look like they may be older ($1.30 for 3 needles!!) They say they are for most domestic or imported machines.

These are the Singer needles that have a ball point and a slightly offset blade to compensate for the needle/hook clearance not being close enough. If you happen to have a machine with this problem, they can help, but if you have a properly adjusted ZZ machine or any straight stitch model, you should avoid them. Schmetz makes virtually the same design in a better quality in the 705H-S. The same cautions apply.
