If anyone is interested in purchasing the password to unlock their embird program....I took Mo's advice and went to Secrets of Embroidery...they have a special...embird is 89.00 and you get a free set of embroidery designs with purchase...now I have to go figure out how to unlock the program...I got the password right away and was surprised at that...I thought it would take a few days....have a great day everyone....:) and thanks again Mo.....:)

Well here I am again LOL...it wasnt all that easy...I put the password in first by inserting the pw into the program...it gave me a message that said...
this pw is invalid...you need a password for embird plus...( I sent away for the disk of embird and downloaded that a month ago) so then I did it the second way...by putting the pw file into the embird32 file and guess what...that didnt work either...so I sent an email off to them...anyone have any ideas on why this isnt working for me....?....thanks....Ria

It's been so long since I did this that I can't explain it to you. I went and looked up the tutorial on Embird's website for inserting passwords, go here:
http://embird.com/sw/embird/tutorial/entpassd.htm to read it. Good luck to you!

Mother in law has embird, I wonder if she would know ? I've been thinking of getting embird myself but not if I have that much trouble . I have enough problems to get frustrated about. MIL loves hers. I'll keep watching this post.

I have an email off to them but still have not heard...thanks ...Ria

I just got a reply from Secrets and she said I must have the older version..so the disk they sent me about 6 months ago is for the old version...she said I should download the newer version from her site...so...I wonder if I should uninstall the older embird first...I think I will write and ask her...I hope these notations here help some others who will purchase embird. I love the program...I just want to open it up LOL....I will keep you all up to date...:) Ria

Usually you put in the old disk and update from the site. The old disk should have a serial number on it. It may not load the update IF you don't put the disk in....

(I don't have Embird. I use BuzzXplore, but it's the same thing, different company and ways of doing the same thing.)

This message is for anyone interested in purchasing Embird...I had a few problems but I did install it successfully with the help of the owner of Secrets of where I purchased it..http://www.secretsof.com/
It is cheaper there than anywhere else...she replies quickly and gives much needed help when needed (thank you Mo for sending me there) and she is offering a set of designs of your choice...I paid $89.00 for the Embird and got a set of designs with it...I am enjoying my new program and I will be happy to help anyone who has problems downloading...in my case...the disk I sent away for Embird from another site...they sent me the old Embird...and that is the reason why my PW wouldnt work...I had to uninstall and reinstall from the Secrets site...it was really easy...I am happy....thanks for helping and listening to my woes.....:) Ria

I'm so glad you got it all straightened out, up & running. I feel better about embird now. As I said before, MIL has been very satisfied with hers for a long time.

I'm a little slow at getting to this, but I am really liking my Embird since I got it registered. I have to upgrade too, so I'm glad to hear it was easy to do, now to go uninstall and reinstall!!

Ria... sorry I haven't been around and just now saw this.... I'm glad you were able to get the problem resolved... and yes.. the difference in the price to buy the registration is about 20% less at the Secretsof site as compared to the Embird site... once you get into it,, you'll really enjoy it... Embird does soooooo much for the cost... if you have any questions don't be afraid to holler... I'll do my best to help you out if need be....

Thank you so much Mo...good to see you again...as a matter of fact I do have a question..I love embird...I can resize, split, combine designs, change formats with it...is there anything else I am missing...I have no plugins so far and think that when I do get the plugins it will be alphabets, and sfumato.
Just wondering as I explore this program if I am missing any basic features it has that I do not know about....thanks for anything you can tell me...help from this board is invaluable. ..

I just purchased an alphabet for the Embird, but honestly haven't done much with it, been too busy finishing up other stuff. I am going to attempt something this weekend though, will let you know how it works out.
