hellooo everyone, wondering if you could help me it is urgent!

I am creating a blouse...and i am adding a separate band for the button extension,... this button extension is 1" in width. I would like to know if any amount would need to be reduced from the actual center front before the band is attatched....or if the center front stays the same?

thank you! angie

Does the extension project from the blouse or does it fold back onto the blouse? Why are you adding it? Does the blouse button up in the original pattern or is it because the blouse does not button in the front that you are adding it (if so, you may need to add on both sides). I've done extensions because the button holes were looped on the edge and didn't have anthing behind them...creating a gap between the edges of the fabric. If that is the case, no everything remains the same, you just have an extension. If this is just a placket down the center, it probably also does not require any changes in the basic pattern. Are you adding the placket to just add a little fabric to the front of the garment? I think that with a little more information we can help you.
