Got this fabric given to me, it is black, satin like, not at all stretchy, with the little grey/blue flower design. I have a bout 4 yards. I can't seem to envision anything out of it, what can you come up with???

How about a straight skirt and a short sleeve oriental tunic.

Yeah...I go for the skirt (with a solid jacket) option...or a Jacket (with a solid skirt option)...blouse/cami in the light embroidered color...great looking fabric. :bg:

Or..make a camisole and use it under the solid skirt/jacket....

or if you do nightwear...great for a nightgown....(short and flirty... :bg: ) robe to match....

OOOOOhhh Very pretty!! It would make anawesome show jacket for me, LOL!! With the occasional crystal in the flowers!! But somehow I dont think that would float you boat as much as it does mine, huh?!! But a skirt or dress jacket would be nice too!!

I love that fabric! I pictured

a loose-fitting accent jacket. (http://store.sewingtoday.com/cgi-bin/voguepatterns/shop.cgi?s.item.V7916=x&TI=20010&page=6)

or this blouse that looks jacket-y, doesn't it? (http://store.sewingtoday.com/cgi-bin/voguepatterns/shop.cgi?s.item.V7998=x&TI=20019&page=5)

Great ideas! I'm leaning towards the simple jacket style. I just can't seem to make up my mind. Thanks for some great ideas gals! I'll let you know what comes of it.
