I build and sell custom golf equipment. A neighbor has a Bernina Deco 600 embroidery machine, and has offered to put my company logo and other designs on shirts, hats, jackets, and other items, as promotional gifts to customers. I have created my company logo, and other designs as image files in Adoby Photo Shop. Most of the files are in JPEG, TIFF, and BMP format. Is it possible to convert these files to the PES format the Bernina uses? If so...how? Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if there is another way to do it, but for the most part, those will have to be redigitized in a machine-type software program and then saved to PES format. There are programs which auto digitize (which are more expensive programs) but most still need a little "tweeking" to get the design just as you want. If your friend is saavy with her program, she may have the knowledge and software to do it. Otherwise you may just want someone to do it for you. Since you have already done the logos you have probably done one thing that will make much easier. When you do an auto digitize you have to limit the number of colors. Even blacks can come in as hundreds of colors. Chances are that when you did the digitizing you already took care of that.

If you pay the person doing the design to digitize, they will charge you for that plus a set up fee (for materials and time) and the final charge is determined by the number of stitches, usually $X per 1000.

I was looking into one of these software programs today that auto designs logos and anything else and saves it to whatever format you need...it was $1200.00...and you need a lot of GHz on your computer..they are hogs on PC's.....of course I decided against it. Ria

If she has Embird digitizing studio she may be able to digitize them with that. Otherwise, she'd need some kind of program to digitize with, and they aren't cheap.

one of my softwares the one I started with was 2100.00 and the one I currently use is a professional one that cost 8000.00 but you get a license to use it on a network of computers and with 10 heads. Cant wait til I can afford the other 9 heads..

I have to say it is nice. When I want to use it in the living room when the kids are watching a movie I take the laptop and plug it into the network and I can use the software.
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!
