Have any of you seen the monogrammed sandals? They are basically flip flops with these buttons on them with a letter (like your first name's first letter.) I think they are so cute.
My question is how would you go about attaching the button to the sandal? I was thinking that perhaps you could use an oversized button cover like I have used on my diaper bags and glue it to the show..not sure though. I imagine they'd be cheaper and less headache just to buy but I am not sure. I think they are adorable with some polka dotted ribbon and some cute pastel flip flops..

If you're using plastic (zori's, flip-flops) thongs...I'd go with glue. Trying to sew on plastic is asking for trouble. (it'll just rip the plastic apart eventually) You don't actually have to have a button either. Joann's, Wally World, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, all sell small wooden letters. You can paint and glue on anything. They also have small animals, flowers, etc. Just about anything you can imagine, they have it in light weight wood. (or foam too....).
