I have a Janome 10000 with the upgrade to 10001 for sale. It's the one with the direct connection to the computer. Comes with Digitizer 10000, Customizer 10000, manuals, hoops, a couple of pattern discs, extenion table, etc. It was factory serviced last summer. Paid $5000 for the machine and with all the extras, about $9000 all in. I'd like at least $4000 for the works. |

I really don't want to start something here BUT you CAN'T upgrade a 9000 to a ten thousand 01. A 10000 can be upgraded to that but not the 9000. You can't even use the 9000 embroudery cards in the 10000 or 01 unless they are changed to a Jeff format. Anyone interested in this--CALL the Janome dealer. |

Sorry everyone if I sounded bi****. That just got to me so fast & I even misspelled my favorite word. ( embroidery ) LOL. I just didn't want someone that didn't know to think they were getting a good buy & waste their money. That kind of stuff makes me see red & I do have a temper about some things. If I'd said all I wanted to Mary would have banned me from the family for sure. Thanks gals for backing me up. |

Hello ladies, I apologize for the confusion. The Janome I have for sale IS a 10000 upgraded to 10001. I have two Janomes and I got the numbers mixed up. I sound like a dork, don't I? The rest of the info is correct and again, I apologize. |

I am confused. I have owned a Janome 10000 since they first came out, and I was not aware that it could be upgraded to a 10001. Please enlighten me. I searched the official Janome site, and they mention a 10000+, and I was not aware that this upgrade is available. I now have both the 10000 and the 11000 and I get the weekly Janome newsletter. Did I miss something? |

Yes the Janome 10000 can be upgraded to the 100001. Go into the software on the Janome site & you should see the updates. Mine has been updated for a long time. If I remember right I just filled out the form & got it. That's just to prove you have the 10000. Who would want it if you didn,t ? Just kidding, they do need your info. Your dealer should have mentioned it also. At least mine did but I'd already gotten it. I'll have to look on the Janome site to be sure exactly where it is but " think " I told you right. |

You are right beachgirl. My dealer told me about the update. If you go onto the Janome site and look under machines and accessories, one of the choices is software. It's under that. |

Thanks, Ladies. My dealer has switched his loyalty to Brother, and is not very interested in helping his old customers. By the way, you probably noticed that I am new to this forum, but I have really gotten an up-grade in my sewing education by reading all the posts. How wonderful to have a group of experienced sewers to help with problems. |

dudenbabe, I had a great dealer here in town when I bought my 9000. He then later went out of business as health problems. When I wanted the 10000, no Janome dealer here so I went to Port Charlotte & bought it. That dealer had been there for a long time BUT he closed up shop all of a sudden with no notice. Left me in a lurch for sure. Later another dealer came to Naples. He didn't want to honor my machine. I told him he had to under what had happened. He soon found out that he had to. I'd called Janome about it. He has been so nice since then & I bought my compulock from him.So hopefully you can complain to Janome that this dealer isn't informing their customers. Join the Janome site if you haven't already & keep a close eye on all the new stuff. The dealer here also sells another brand but has found he sure has a lot of Janome customers in the area. If you have any questions, just ask. The group here is wonderful. |

Beach have you test drove the new 11000? It's nice. I was trained on it for the conference in Baton Rouge last month. I have the 9000 and I have the Singer XL6000. If I had the money I might get the 11000. But by the time I get the 11000 money together they will come out with another one.
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

No, I haven't tested the 11000 out. I don't dare as I'd leave the store with one. LOL. I have noticed they are putting updates on the 11000 also. I'm like you, they are always coming out with newer machines but the trade in values are the pits as far as I'm concerned. It's the same as with cars, drive em off the lot & they lose value. I need to build another room for what I have now so hate to add another machine. Mine are just for my pleasure so I really can't justify the cost of another right now. Sometimes it's awful to be so practical. |
