I am brand new to machine embroidery. Because I have dreamed about it for many years, my husband just got me a Brother Innovis 4000D with a PE Design 6.0. For my first project, I am digitizing a logo for my son from a Microsoft Paint file. In the PE Design manual I have seen a "feather" stitch I would like to use on the top of a patch of grass. I need help to figure this out. I hope that I have not overdone it on my first embroidery project, but I am always up for a challenge. I would love to hear any tips or other comments on my choice of machines, software, or how to apply this "feather stitch" appication. |

Hi, do you mean the "Feather Edge"? This is used with manual punching to create a look of fur on animal designs. Of course it can be used for other things such as flowers, etc. You can do just the edge for the top only or bottom only or both. |

Yes, Joanne. I am talking about the feather edge. I am looking to create an uneven edge look (on the top) that appears to be grass growing from a side view. I want the bottom to be solid and flat. Does this feather edge seem to be appropriate to use in this case. The logo has the company name above this "grass" and "LAWN & LANDSCAPING" just below it. I also would like any info on taking a online class to learn more about this PE6. THANKS SOOO MUCH!! |

Hi, yes you can use that once you have set your sewing attributes, etc. I have sent you a message in regards to lessons. |
